Parking Accounts

The Parking Accounts page is where you can add, remove and manage your parking service accounts.

Parking Accounts
To add an account:
  1. Click the Add Existing Parking Accounts button.
  2. Select the service type from the Select Account Type drop-down menu.

For more details on the supported parking services, see the Domain Parking Services page.

Add Service
  1. Enter your parking account details in the form.
  2. Click the Add Account button to add the parking service account.


To edit an account:
  1. Click the Edit link next to the account you want to edit.

  1. Edit the details you want to change.
  2. Click the Update button to save your changes.


Hide / show deleted account stats in reports
  1. Click on the Show Deleted Accounts link.
  2. Untick the checkbox beside the deleted service.

The deleted service will no longer be shown when creating a report.



Redirection settings

If you have been provided with a custom CNAME or IP address, please select the appropriate Redirection setting option and enter your custom CNAME or IP address. Otherwise select Default to use the default redirect method.

Example CNAME: 1234.sedoparking.com

Please ask your parking company's account manager for the correct CNAME to use. Each account will have its own unique CNAME.



Advanced Settings – Partner ID & API Key

The Partner ID and API Key can be used to fetch statistics through the SEDO API. If you do not have a Partner ID and API Key, leave these fields blank.



SEDO TXT record

The SEDO TXT record is provided by SEDO and can be used to verify ownership of domains parked at SEDO.

To delete an account:
  1. Click the Edit link next to the account you want to delete.

  1. Click the Delete account link.


To disable an account:
  1. Click the Edit link next to the account you want to disable.
  1. Uncheck the Enabled checkbox.
  2. Click the Update button to save your changes.

IMPORTANT!!! Please update the Custom Settings for all folders that contain a parking service before disabling it. Not doing so is STRONGLY NOT ADVISED!

If you do not update the Custom Settings, one of follow actions will occur:

  1. If you have set multiple parking services for the folder, and some of them are not available due to being disabled or due to being blacklisted for the domain being served, we serve to the remaining services.

    Example:

    • SEDO: 20%
    • DomainSponsor: 30%
    • ParkingCrew: 50%

    If you were to blacklist ParkingCrew for a domain in the folder or disabled ParkingCrew all together, the percentage for the remaining services would be changed in proportion.

    Example:

    • SEDO: 40%
    • DomainSponsor: 60%

  2. If there are no available services after removing blacklisted and disabled services, one of the following actions will occur:
    • If you have blacklisted this domain at all active services, a blank page will be served. This is because the blacklisting may be for legal reasons.
    • If the traffic was unable to be served due all configured parking services for that folder being disabled, an active parking service from your account is selected.
    • If there are no active parking services available in your account, we serve to our Above.com account.

There is no policy for returning Above.com account revenues to the domain owner and occurrences are handled on a case by case basis.
