Trellian LogoWe are pleased to announce the release of the Trellian AdNetwork, a direct navigation platform.
http://bid.trellian.com/

The Trellian AdNetwork reaches over 200 million unique visitors each month and can deliver targeted, direct navigation traffic at a fraction of the cost.

Instead of paying per click, Trellian drives targeted traffic directly to your website. As there are no ads to view or to click on, there is no competition from organic search results or other advertisers. This means more traffic at a much lower cost.

The Trellian AdNetwork has the same traffic that you can currently buy from most major search engines and you can setup both keyword and category based campaigns.

verisign-logo.jpgVeriSign recently announced that it registered a record number of visitors for online sales during the year-end holidays this year. These numbers clearly indicate an increase in traffic on e-commerce sales.
Online shoppers saw the VeriSign seal approximately 789 million times, up roughly 50% year over year. VeriSign seals are common fixtures on web pages of leading merchants. The VeriSign Secured Seal indicates that the Web site is secured by SSL encryption and the identity of the business has been authenticated. VeriSign is the authorized directory provider for roughly over 89 million .com, .net, .cc, and .tv domain names.
VeriSign earlier announced an increase in registry domain name fees for .com and .net,

yahoo-logo.gifJust received an email from Yahoo effectively advising that they have given Syndication of their Search Feeds the GREEN light.

Yahoo BOSS (Build Your Own Service) is a great Open Search API, where the goal of BOSS is simple: "to foster innovation in the search industry. Developers, start-ups, and large Internet companies can use BOSS to build and launch web-scale search products that utilize the entire Yahoo! Search index. BOSS gives you access to Yahoo!'s investments in crawling and indexing, ranking and relevancy algorithms, and powerful infrastructure. By combining your unique assets and ideas with our search technology assets, BOSS is a platform for the next generation of search innovation, serving hundreds of millions of users across the Web." Yahoo have removed the daily caps, removed all the other restrictions that were with the original Yahoo Search APIs. Well Done Yahoo... that sure is one way to get a lot of third party tools using Yahoo search, aka greater search share for Yahoo.

The Interesting part was that Yahoo emailed advising to sign up via their 1st Yahoo! Search BOSS syndication partner DDC.com. Here is a copy of the email received:

yahoo-logo.gifYahoo has annouced that by the end of this year all forms of Paid Inclusion into the Yahoo Search Index will be shut down!

This is probably the best news I have heard from Yahoo for a long time for Domainers.

Background... Trellian was a long standing Yahoo partner, reselling Paid Inclusion services via our Priority Submit service since 2001, since the good old Inktomi and AltaVista paid inclusion days. Unfortunately Inktomi was acquired by Overture and shortly later Overture and AltaVista was acquired by Yahoo.
