Indeed, the company who owns sex.com is currently in trouble and has to sell some of its assets, including the (in)famous domain name.
The auction will take place on the 18th of March, in New York. It is open to everyone, provided you can show a $1 million certified check to the auctioneers.
I reckon that $1 million will not get you very far in the process though....

Wow, Again? I don't think a million will do ANYTHING. Curious however how did the auction end?

Unfortunately the auction was cancelled for the time being. We are all waiting to hear when/if it will be put back on auction.
