Effective as of 1 Dec 2009 DomainWatch.com.au the Australian drop domain service that competes with drop.com.au has advised that the New Minimum Bid is going to increase from $20.00 to $50.00 with increments of $10.00
It seems like that they wish to discourage the volume registrations that are most common. Those domains that you will give them a go for their $20 but not $30 and definitely not $50
This price increase is another good reason to use drop.com.au instead, as their minimum bids is $1 plus Registration so $23.10 (inc GST), before this domainwatch minimum bid worked out to be cheaper at $22 (inc GST).
$23.10 or $55.00 not sure about you, but I know where I will be going for those domains that I am want to take a punt at.
